 František Raboň is going to change his team after six years under one team with several different names. Following the HTC-Highroad disband, the Czech rider has decided to sign a two-year contract with the Omega Pharma Quick Step.  František Raboň knows which team he will be riding for next year. Following the disband of the HTC-Highroad his future was quite uncertain. But now he is relaxed since he clinched a new deal with a ProTour team.  František Raboň is not quite satisfied with the season progress. After a long period without races he hopes to get back on form and show his best qualities.  František Raboň has spent almost a month off his bike since the World Championship but as of next Thursday, he will begin his preparations for next season that will be relatively different for him. Most importantly, the Czech rider will wear the Omega Pharma – Quick-Step colors next year.  František Raboň is getting back to racing after a rest period and training. His next participation won´t be the Tour of Austria as he originally planned but the Czech Cycling Tour.  Recover and recharge batteries, those are the primary goals that František Raboň set after having abandoned the Giro. He realized, however, that he had done his job. “Thy is why I don’t make a big deal out of it.” The Czech rider from the American team HTC-Highroad won´t arrive at the finish in Milano. František Raboň abandoned the 15th stage of the Giro d´Italia. It was a severe day for the Czech rider from HTC-Highroad team in the 14th stage of the Giro d´Italia. František Raboň eventually finished the stage atop Monte Zoncolan and he is going to continue in the race.  Since the HTC-Highroad disband, the time trial specialist František Raboň hasn’t put in many race kilometers. “The team wanted me to fly to Canada but I didn’t go as I would have ridden only two races and I wouldn’t have had enough time to get acclimatized,” Raboň said.  František Raboň is not going to defend his time trial title at the Czech national championship in Šumperk and nor is he going to show up at the start of the road race. |
