František Raboň is not going to defend his time trial title at the Czech national championship in Šumperk and nor is he going to show up at the start of the road race.
“ So far the season hasn’t turned out the way I had imagined. After three successful years I´m disappointed but I will do my very best to improve the second half of the season. Giro d´Italia cost Raboň a lot of energy. “I suffered a lot there. I was hoping that I would feel better at the Daufiné but my legs were still tired. The team is very understanding and they has given me a lot of support. They are satisfied with the team´s results but I´m not happy with my performance.”
“I took a couple of days off to bounce back and get ready for the next races. For this reason, I am going to leave the national championship out of my race schedule even though I feel bad about it.” He is going to take a week off the bike and then he is going to do a block of training in the Šumava Mountains in the Czech Republic. “I am going to do a lot of work in the mountains in my build up for the Tour of Austria which will be my next race. Then I should ride the Eneco Tour,” Raboň added.
